At fanimal (“we”, “our”, “us”), we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that any personal information we collect is handled responsibly, transparently, and in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

We collect and process only the personal data that is strictly necessary for the provision of our online Animal Behaviorist and Dog Training services.

By using our website https://fanimal.net (the “Website”) and our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Publisher / Data Controller: The individual responsible for managing your data, based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
  • User (“you”, “your”): Any person accessing our Website or using our services.

  • Identification details: First and last name.
  • Contact details: Email address, and a phone number if you give us one.
  • Pet information: Details about your pets necessary for the provision of services.

  • Improve our customer service.

5. Use of subprocessors

Any third-party processors we engage will provide sufficient guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data in full compliance with the GDPR.

When you send the contact form, your message reaches us by email through Resend, Inc., and is then kept in HubSpot (CRM) so that we can follow up on our exchanges.

The analytics and advertising tools listed in section 10 are only loaded once you agree to them.

6. Sharing of personal data

We treat your information with strict confidentiality. We will only disclose it if:

  • We are legally required to do so; or
  • A competent authority requests it in accordance with the law.

7. Data hosting and transfers

The Website and the PostHog analytics are hosted within the European Union.

Some of our processors are established in the United States. Those transfers are carried out in accordance with GDPR requirements and with adequate safeguards in place.

8. Data retention

We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. If there is no activity related to your account for three (3) years, your data will be securely deleted.

9. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, loss, or destruction.

10. Cookies

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject them. Until you choose, only the necessary cookies are set.

  • Necessary: needed for the site and the contact form to work, including the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot check and remembering your choice.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the site is used.
  • Advertising: Google Ads and the HubSpot tracking script, to measure our advertising and follow up on our conversations.

None of these tools is loaded before you agree. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you in advance through our Website or via email, where appropriate.

12. Governing law and language

This Privacy Policy is governed by European Union law.

It is originally drafted in French. In the event of a discrepancy between the translated version and the French version, the French version shall prevail.
